Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you the best high street concealers that I have come across in my time so far - Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer and Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer. I honestly can't pick which one I prefer because they are both amazing concealers for different reasons so I decided that I would just talk about them both in the same post. First of all, I love the Collection concealer for under my eyes and couldn't find a better concealer that has a smoother consistency or fuller coverage. It has everything you could possibly wish for in a under eye concealer and for only £4.99, I would say it is pretty much a miracle product.

As for the Wake Me Up, I prefer this for when I am having a good eye day and would rather focus on highlighting that area than cover it. Both concealers are also absolutely perfect for covering up blemishes, however, if your going through a rough blemish phase, especially if its perhaps close to your lady month, then I would recommend using the Collection one just because it has a heavier coverage.

I prefer to use under eye concealers that's one shade lighter to my original skin tone so that it highlights the area and doesn't make me look even more tired than I usually do. I always pick the lightest shade that these brands make which is Fair 1 for the Collection Lasting Perfection and Ivory for the Wake Me Up. As for the packaging, I must admit that I do prefer the Wake Me Up as the writing on the Lasting Perfection always smudges no matter how careful you are, which is really irritating considering it gets all over your hands when applying this product, and if its all over your fingers then you know how messy makeup can get.

Overall, I have went through tubes and tubes of these two concealers and will probably not stop until I have found something that comes close to beating the socks off them both. 1. Favourite spring nail polish?

My favourite spring nail polish is Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Green Berry. It's very much like Essie's Mint Candy Apple, but just A LOT more affordable. It also lasts a really long time before chipping and the colour is stunning which compliments any skin tone.

3. Show us your favourite spring dress?

The weather hasn't been warm enough to wear dresses in the UK so I haven't got my dresses out yet, but I'm sure that some of them will be featured in future outfit blog posts.

4. Whats your favourite flower?

Daisies. I love them because they make your garden look so pretty once they bloom.

5. Favourite spring scarf/accessory?

I don't wear a lot of scarves and when I do, I normally wear big wooly ones in the winter, but my favourite spring accessory lately has been little dainty necklaces and pendants rather than the big chunky ones that I normally wear in the winter or on an evening out. I'm also going to start wearing my sunglasses more as the weather warms up because I've been waiting to crack them out for a long time now.

6. What spring trends are you most excited about this year? (makeup, fashion or both!)

I'm most excited about all of the pastel colours and moving away from my darker colours that I wore last season (even though theres no chance that you won't see me at any time of the year without a bit of black incorporated into my outfit.. even my sunglasses are black!) but Im just looking forward to wearing brighter colours again. I'm also really excited for all the upcoming MAC collections that will come out this spring and summer. Ive noticed that shirt dresses are beginning to come on trend which is something that I am super duper excited about because I absolutely love the concept of shirt dresses and already have one that I bought in the Christmas sales so that I am fully prepared for this new trend.

9. What is spring like where you live?

Well I live in the UK so you can imagine that spring weather varies just like every season. Sometimes it can be really warm one day, but then the next day it could rain, and plus, spring is right after winter so its never as warm as other countries because our winter can be really cold. I do love it on the warmer days though because it gets me so excited for summer.

10. Whats your favourite thing about spring?

The excitement leading up to summer, and the fact that everyones mood changes and everyone is always so happy when the sun comes out. Has anyone else noticed that? I also love seeing the transition from Winter to Spring when all the the flowers start to bloom and nature starts to come out from hibernation.

11. Are you a spring cleaner?

I'm an all year round cleaner because I love it when my room is neat and tidy, but yes, I do take advantage of spring cleaning to totally revamp my room ready for spring and summer.

12. Any plans for spring break or an upcoming vacation?

There is no spring break in the UK unfortunately and I haven't heard anything about a family vacation, but my family and I always go on days out when the weather starts to get nicer. I'm really hoping that we go back to Whitby Beach and York because they are both absolutely beautiful places to visit, especially in the spring and summer.

Woodwinked

If you saw My Beauty Wishlist post then you will already know that I have been drawn to this eyeshadow for quite a while, and it is definitely going to be the next one that I purchase for my palette. This is the perfect neutral shade with hints of gold, so would be perfect to wear in the summer, and part of an everyday look. Woodwinked has a Veluxe Pearl finish, which means that it is shimmery and pearly, but just not quite a frost finish like the other two.

Phloof!

This eyeshadow is the perfect highlight shade and I think that it would look so pretty in the inner corners, brow bone, and even across your cheeks as a subtle glow. I couldn't really find any good images that show how shimmery this frosty shadow actually is, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Amber Lights

Since Summer is slowly approaching, I really want to start experimenting with different smoky, golden and bronze eye looks, and I think that Amber Lights would be the perfect shade for this. Amber Lights is another eyeshadow with a frosty finish, and is a neutral copper shade with a warm undertone.

Jay: What is your holy grail beauty item and what is your favourite thing about blogging?

My holy grail beauty product is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I absolutely love it and it's definitely my all time favourite concealer. I have a feeling that it will not be replaced any time soon. As for my favourite thing about blogging, I've been asked this question in previous blog posts, but my favourite thing is the fact that I have my own space to share my thoughts and ideas, and also the fact that I'm able to connect and talk to loads of people who share the same passions and interests as myself.

Toni: Have you made any interesting beauty related purchases lately?
Ive been splurging on a lot of MAC products that I've wanted for a really long time since I had a bit of birthday money left over, and I decided to try out the MAC Studio Fix Foundation, which I absolutely love and wrote a review about. I also started my own 15x pro palette and bought All That Glitters as the first refill pan.

Ayre: What's your fave drugstore brand?
I'm going to have to say Rimmel just because you can never go wrong with this brand, and I absolutely love their Wake Me Up Foundation and collection of mascaras.

Farzana: One item you'd splurge on?
It would definitely be another MAC product or Urban Decay because I am absolutely loving these two brands at the minute. I really want to put some more eyeshadows in my palette so that All That Glitters doesn't start to get lonely in that huge empty case. I am absolutely dying to try out Woodwinked, Phloof! and Shroom.

Ayesha: What's your favourite product to use on a daily basis?
Since I've talked a lot about makeup in this post, I'll share my favourite skincare product instead which I use religiously. The Simple Kind To Skin Protecting Moisturisers is one of my favourite high street moisturisers on the market right now. I also wrote a review on it earlier this month, which you can find here. However, in a nutshell, the moisturiser leaves my skin feeling super moisturised and replenished, and it also has a light consistency which means that it soaks into my skin really fast and makes it perfect as a morning moisturiser and makeup base.

Beth: What skin care product would you recommend to take care/control spots?
Sudocrem, 100%!!! I use it every time I break out and it sorts those little bad boys out faster than they appear. I usually apply a thick layer to the affected areas after my evening skincare routine, and then I always remove it with some tissue right before I go to bed just so the cream doesn't rub off onto my sheets because it is a nightmare to get off material.

Last summer when I was getting ready for my Year 11 prom, I had the experience of getting my makeup done by one of the lovely ladies at the Urban Decay counter in Debenhams. This wasn't the first time I had my makeup professionally done as I had the opportunity to go to a MAC counter last February and get pampered as a late birthday present from my aunties. Both experiences were wonderful as I never had anyone do my makeup before and had only ever done it myself, but its never as good as them.

So anyways, when I had my makeup done I was able to choose any of the products that were used in my look in return for the money that I payed for the makeover (so I pretty much either had a free makeover, or got free high end makeup, oh yeah). I decided to pick up the foundation which also came with a small bottle of the All Nighter Setting Spray, and the lipstick that she used so that I could top it up throughout the night.
