Since my hair tends to root more towards the dry side rather than oily, I am a huge fan of hair oils and the Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil is one of the best ones I have ever used. My mum on the other hand prefers to steer away from oils and uses lighter products, so when she said I could have the one that she got for Christmas, I was over the moon and new that it was the perfect opportunity to promote one of my all time favourite hair products. She also couldnt have given me it at a more perfect time because I had literally just put the last product I was using in the trash.

This oil has a real uplifting salon scent which always makes me look forward to using it because there is no better feeling than your hair after a trip to the salon. It's also really light and I dont feel like I need to be extra cautious when using it on damp hair in case it dries greasy. It has a silky consistency which I can totally feel when I have some leftover residue on my hands, and it leaves my hair feeling so healthy and replenished. I also tend to focus it on the ends of my hair where its most dry so you can really see a difference.

Another thing which I love about this oil is the fact that you don't only have to use it as a leave in conditioner after you've washed your hair. You can also use it as an overnight treatment, before shampooing or during conditioning. The only con to this product is because I use it literally every time I wash my hair, the product goes down really quickly, but I have no problem ordering another bottle, I just wish they were a little bigger. The fact that I keep on top of it because I use it at least three times a week, means that it prevents my ends from going dry which allow more split ends.

BOO! This time next week will be the day we have been waiting for since we put away our flashy pumpkin fairy lights and carving kit last year. It's HALLOWEEN! Those who know me personally know that I am an extremely festive person and when theres something to celebrate, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll celebrate it. However, since we still have seven days to wait, I thought I would share my top seven Halloween films to countdown to the big day. Also, as much as I love a good horror, I decided that I would only mention the age appropriate ones in case your looking for a good one suitable for your kiddy winks.

1. Hocus Pocus - This film is definitely one of my first two all time favourites. I have loved this film ever since I was a little girl, so it brings back a lot of spooky memories.

2. Halloween Town - You guessed it! The Halloween Town series are my other all time favourite Halloween childhood classics. I think there are four films in total and I love every single one of them. It's such a shame I don't have Disney on my TV Guide anymore because I sure do miss these films.

3. Casper - Casper is definitely most adorable and friendly ghost I have ever seen on TV. Watching this film warms my heart every time and I just cant help but shed a tear at the end, even though I have probably watched it more than the normal amount of times a person could watch a film.

4. Twitches - Super girly but super spooky. I haven't seen these films as much as the other three, but every time I've watched them, I've always enjoyed them. It's a great film to watch with your sister, mother, best friend or just any woman in your life.

5. Monster House - I remember going to watch this in the cinemas when it first came out with my mum and brother. We absolutely loved it and I still do to this present day.

6. Double, Double Toil and Trouble - Who's a fan of little Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? I love watching their earlier stuff when they were really young and this film is no exception. If its not Casper warming my heart then it is definitely the little Olsen's.

7. Vampire Academy - I only recently saw this film after browsing through the Halloween collection on Netflix and I did not regret watching it one bit. I really hope they make a series out of the books because I would definitely be a fan.

You may know by now that I am such a TV fanatic. I would take sitting on the sofa with a blanket, box of chocolates and my FRIENDS box set any day over going to some drunken party. I have probably watched (or currently watching) any show that comes to mind. I know its not the most healthiest and productive way to spend my free time, but hey, when I get the chance to kick back and relax, I take it. 

I have five suggestions at the ready for those who are preparing to become another Netflix junkie. I've also decided not to mention the usual (Gilmore Girls, AHS, Pretty Little Liars, Awkward, Once Upon A Time, Full House) since I seem to always find myself talking about them when I do a TV related post, and included some different ones that haven't had as much love and attention.

Brooklyn Nine Nine - Now I know Brooklyn Nine Nine shouldn't technically make this list because only the first season is actually on Netflix, but if we step away from the Netflix boundaries and just visit general TV then Brooklyn Nine Nine is definitely a show that we should consider and get watching. It's not everyones cup of tea (definitely not my brothers..) but for lucky souls like myself, it happened to be love at first sight. Has anyone ever watched say the first two episodes of a show and knew straight away that you were going to enjoy the rest of it? Well that's what happened with me. I managed to watch all two seasons in one weekend and I was not disappointed.

Merlin - Merlin is a new show that I've started recently and I'm hooked! Well, tell a lie, I did start watching the end of season five, which is the last ever season for those of you who aren't Merlinians yet, and ever since then I've been telling myself that I was going to watch the entire five series'. Its not until the end of this year that I decided to make a start. I think it was just the resistance I felt inside, knowing that I would have to watch King Arthur die again that made me procrastinate from watching it for so long, but thankfully I'm only on series two and don't have to worry about that just yet.

Being Human US/UK - This show isn't as popular as the usual horrors aka American Horror Story and The Walking Dead but I love watching it. I started watching the US version a while ago and when I finished all four seasons I was devastated, but then I found out that the BBC were replaying the British version. Of course I had to watch it because I was obsessed with the US version and wanted to see how good the British version was, but then when I found out that Aidan Turner, the ultimate drop dead gorgeous man candy of the year was one of the main characters, there was no competition. I'm really digging his Irish accent which makes him even more desirable than before, and people, I watched Poldark beforehand.

2 Broke Girls - If you're looking for a light hearted, girly, easy to watch comedy then look no further because 2 Broke Girls has your back. I cant recall one episode that didn't make me laugh, even if it was just an amused smile or quiet little giggle. Although, every time Max makes one of her dry, sarcastic jokes, I can't help but roll on the floor laughing, literally. Even though the title of this post clearly says four shows, I would also like to inform you guys on two other comedies which I think are completely necessary to watch, which are New Girl and Whitney. I'm gutted that Whintey was cancelled because I would have loved to see more episodes.

Autumn is upon us which means that theres no better time to watch all my favourite Autumn time Gilmore Girls. Theres no place that celebrates Halloween better than Stars Hollow. In celebration of this one of a kind, truly inspiring and absolutely hilarious show, I thought I would share some things that I learnt when watching all seven seasons earlier this year.

1. You get by with a little help from your.. coffee? Before Gilmore Girls I never used to drink coffee and in all honestly, used to think it tasted vile, but after watching them drink their fifth cup each episode I got the urge to try it out again and surprisingly found myself loving it. Ever since then I have never not enjoyed a big steamy cup of joe.

2. Theres no greater friend than your mom. After all, the entire show is about the relationship between mother and daughter so its inevitable that theres going to be a lot about the ups and downs of a mother, daughter relationship. Myself and my mum could relate to so many things that happen between Rory and Lorelai, which is probably why its one of my all time favourite shows because its so relatable and true.

3. The best things can sometimes be right in front of you. It took Lorelai seven seasons to realise that her one true love was Luke Danes from Luke's Diner, Luke Danes. Yeah, the Luke she bought coffee from every single day. She spent seven seasons looking for her 'Mr Right' when he was literally two minutes away. Oh Lorelai!
4. I dont have to feel like I've wasted my day when I binge watch a full season of PLL.
5. Education matters. If theres one person who gives me the motivation to study then it is definitely Miss Rory Gilmore herself. My teachers never make me want to study but I watch Rory reading at her desk or working on her new feature for the Yale Daily News, and I suddenly find myself picking up my history revision guides.

6. Mornings are the WORST! I have never been a morning person and resent the sound of my alarm clock, and Gilmore Girls have given me all the more reasons to try and stay in bed that extra fifteen minutes.

7. You are NEVER too old to enjoy everything you used to love as in your childhood. Disney has no age restrictions!

8. It's okay not to have a path to follow right now because you will eventually find it. Rory spent the majority of the show trying to figure out what to do with her life. She knew what she wanted to do and worked her hardest to try and get there... until she dropped out of Yale and spent half a season living it up in Emily and Richards house.

It feels like forever since I last wrote a blog post, but I'm so glad that I'm back in the swing of things again.. I hope. College has just been so hectic which you have probably already guessed because of the lack of blog posts in September. However, now that I seem to be somewhat on top of my college work right now, I wanted to spend some time giving my blog some TLC. I have been on a little bit of an online shopping binge and have bought a few new makeup products recently. The first of which is a new eyeshadow palette since I really wanted to experiment with some new neutrals for Autumn.

This is the Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Au Naturel which I was persuaded to purchase after watching Zoella's Top Drugstore Makeup Products video. She made it sound so good that I new I had to check it out and see what all the excitement was about. What made it even better was the fact that Sleek were having a 2 for £10 deal and since the palette is originally retailed at £7.99, I couldnt resist the fact that I was only paying two pounds for another product. I decided to get the contour and highlight palette which is another beauty I had been dying to try out.

I've only used this palette once and used the shades Cappuccino, Conker, Regal and Mineral Earth, which I loved! I can't wait to start trying out the other shades to see what sort of looks I come up with. I'm really tempted to see if I can get a smoky eye with these shades because most of them are muted and soft anyways. The only thing that disappointed me was actually the shade that I actually liked once I started using it and that was Conker. In person it has a more plum tone so I was quite excited to have a palette with a plum shade because hey, its Autumn and what better time to wear plum shades than Autumn, but when I actually blended it in, it came out a lot more dark brown, which there is already plenty of in the palette. However, with that aside, I absolutely adore this palette and have a feeling I'm definitely going to get my use out of it this Autumn.
