I was doing some window shopping online today because I was trying to get an idea of what sort of bag I want for when I go back to college in September and I came across so many gorgeous bags which made me wish that I was really rich just so I could buy them all. I'm not sure whether I'm going to be purchasing one of the following or buy something completely different because some of them aren't really suitable for college since I need a huge sack just to carry all of my books and supplies in, but I am going to make it my goal next year to limit what I carry and make sure I don't overpack. Some of these bags would also be perfect for summer because of their bright and bold colours. I'll also leave the link to where the bags are sold in case anybody wants to check them out.

The time has come and I have finally made my way out of my eyeshadow comfort zone. If you've been reading my blog for a while now then you will know that I have been getting into the habit of just sticking to neutral toned eyeshadows and have always been going for browns and taupes in my everyday eye look, but recently, especially with Summer approaching, I have been playing around with gold and bronze colours. Gold is such a versatile colour and compliments pretty much any season whether thats being the traditional Christmas colour along with red, white, silver and green, or in Autumn with warmer colours, or in Summer when your feeling that Golden/Bronze goddess mood. Gold has always reminded me of summer so I thought I would experiment with different golds to see what looks I could come up with. My favourite one was inspired by the sunset which I also featured in my latest video which was the Summer Evening Hair & Makeup.

The products that I have been using to achieve these looks are the Laura Geller Baked Brûlée Eyeshadow in Orange Blossom which came in the Baked Macaroon 9 Piece Set, Maybelline Color Tattoo in 05 Eternal Gold, and Barry M Dazzle Dust in 44 Bronze. All of the eyeshadows are super pigmented and can we all just appreciate how pretty the Baked Brûlée Eyeshadow is from Laura Geller. You guys know how much I love Laura Geller and one of the main reasons is because of her baked cosmetics because they are always so delicately made and look absolutely perfect.

I also love my Color Tattoo which is the product that I have been going for the most because even though it is slightly messy since you have to apply it with your fingers, it looks amazing and blends in so easily.  I also always make sure I have some tissue or baby wipe next to me so that once I have applied it, I can wipe my fingers so that it doesn't go all over my makeup brushes. The durability also lasts all day and doesn't start to fade until the very end of the day. It does slightly crease if you don't apply a primer beforehand but its not too noticeable. Ive also had this pot for a really long time and it still hasn't showed any signs of drying out, so it is definitely worth every penny. 

As for the Dazzle Dust, I don't use it all of the time if I'm going to be completely honest, just because it is a loose pigment and does get everywhere if your not careful. I would not recommend using it if your in a time crunch just because you need to be really careful when handling it. Depending on how much you load your brush with, the Dazzle Dust can be used as a bright and bold colour or as a subtle shimmer over your eyeshadow. It has a smooth and blendable application since it does look slightly intimidating with it being a loose powder and you never really know how much you have on your brush until you start applying it, but it really does look perfect every time and even if you feel like you have put too much on your brush you can easily tap it off into the pot or the lid. If its looking a little cakey on your eyes then its easily blendible so you really cant go wrong.

Since I was running low on my Urban Decay Naked Skin and was in need of a new foundation, I decided to go back to an old favourite. The Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation is my all time favourite high street foundation and the only reason I stopped using it was because I was starting to get a little bored of the same one and wanted to try out others which had caught my eye, but none of them have proven to be better than this little baby. I did actually get one shade too dark as I normally go for the porcelain or light porcelain, but since they weren't in stock, I decided to go for the ivory instead, which doesn't actually look too dark and will probably look a lot more natural once I start to get more of a tan this summer.

The Wake Me Up Foundation is probably like a summer makeup essential because its almost like it was made for summer as it has brightening and illuminating properties which really take effect in the sun and give your skin a healthy, dewy glow. It also contains SPF 15 which not only covers up any imperfections and discolouration, but also protects your skin from the suns harmful rays. So we all know what that means right? More time in the sun!

The foundation has a medium coverage and is also extremely light on your skin without leaving any sticky resedue, so there is no need to powder afterwards if you don't necessarily want to, but I always do anyways just to be sure that my makeup is going to stay in place. If you want to say goodbye to dull and lifeless skin and say hello to flawless, radiant new skin then I 100% recommend the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation. Woah, that kind of sounded like a TV advertisement, don't you think?

For those who live in the UK or any other regions where the weather is so unpredictable that you just cant rely on the weather, then you will understand how frustrating it can be when you expect a hot sunny day, but instead you get a cold and dull cloudy day, which is exactly what the weather is like as I'm writing this post.

There are also so many festivals and fun events coming up this summer so you need to be prepared for the worst. A couple of weeks ago I was sent some thermal leggings by the thermal socks brand, Heat Holders. When I was asked to give them a review on my blog, I thought that thermal leggings were a fantastic idea for summer, especially when your going camping or going to festivals because UK summers are not quite like those of Spain or California, even though I really wish they were.

When I first tried them on I noticed that they were a tad see through and sort of reminded me of thick footless tights rather than leggings, so I would advise that you wear something to cover up like a long top, dress, or some shorts, or a skirt. Its not so noticeable indoors but once your in natural light, its definitely something you notice. However with that said, I absolutely love them!

They are so comfy and I may or may not have worn them to bed a few times. They are also true to their name and do keep my legs warmer in the colder weather. I would definitely recommend picking up a pair because they are an essential for UK summer. The fabric is very comfortable and flexible, and its basically like your wearing your pyjamas but just look more appropriate in public. Although, there is nothing wrong with wearing your pyjamas in public. Fashion is about expressing your freedom and creativity, right?

Creme Cup

I've had this old thing in the back of my beauty stuff since last Christmas and completely forgot about it until now. When I recently came back across it, I wondered why I left it so long to try it out. First of all, it smells absolutely divine, just like every other product in the strawberry collection. It's also a gentle exfoliator which means that it is perfect for those with sensitive skin rather than those harsh nitty gritty ones. I prefer to think of it as a cleansing body wash because it doesn't feel like an exfoliator to me even though it works splendidly, but once it lathers the exfoliating bits tend to get lost and it starts to feel more like a body wash the more you scrub.

I'm not sure if they sell this product individually as I got it in a Christmas gift set along with a body wash, body lotion, bar of soap and a loofah, but I fully recommend having a look if you don't want to go out and get the other products as well. As summer is approaching, its probably about time to get out all of your good exfoliators and shaving creams since you will be showing off more skin. If you haven't found a particular one that you like yet then why not give this one a go? I can promise that you will not be disappointed.

I was in Tesco yesterday with my mum and brothers to pick up a new spot cream for my brother since his prom is coming up soon and whilst I was there I couldn't not browse through the delightful makeup aisles seen as though they were just right next to the Clean & Clear and skincare aisles. I knew I needed a new powder before I got there so I decided to check out what they had on offer. As well as a new powder, I came across the American candy aisle whilst I was looking for my mum and I just couldn't resist. I've got this thing where I just want to try as much American candy as I can because they have started selling them in my local supermarkets and shops for reasonable prices. In the end I decided to pick up a Butterfinger and a Tootsie Roll. The Toots was definitely my fav!

But anyways, back to the powder. I picked up the Collection Sheer Loose Powder because I've only ever used a loose powder once which was the NYC Smooth Skin Loose Powder and for the rest of the time, I've always just used pressed powders, but I wanted to try something different this time because I thought that loose powders would be lighter and would be a lot more convenient for summer. I hate heavy makeup in the summer so you can imagine how much this thought appealed to me. I think the reason I stopped using NYC was because of the big, bulky packaging and the fact that I couldn't carry it in my makeup bag without it filling up half of it, but I remember really liking the actual powder.

When I used the powder this morning for the first time, I absolutely loved it. The overall application process was simple with no mess, and I found that a little went a long way because I didn't need to pack my brush with powder and just dusted the brush in the pot, tapping off excess as I went. I also really liked the scent of it which is quite odd because its a powder, but it had a silky sort of scent which reminded me of a good old fashioned powder that my nana keeps in the spare bedroom of her house.

The powder is also translucent but I didn't mind because I think I would rather have a translucent powder rather than one that builds up more colour because there is always the option of using bronzer afterwards. Overall, the powder felt light on my skin rather than being cakey, the application process was simple with no mess, I personally thought it smelt amazing, and it has kept my makeup in place for a good few hours now and it is boiling outside.

Being a beauty blogger you can assume that I love collecting makeup just as much as a stamp collector loves collecting stamps and a coin collector loves collecting coins. Spending all of your extra pocket money to try out the new hypes and crazes, ah, I just love makeup. One type of makeup product that I love experimenting with is mascara. I have huge eyes and when I'm doing my makeup, I always focus on my eyes to enhance them and show them off to the world. I also love seeing what each brand has to offer and finding out which ones I prefer for future reference.

In the time that I've been collecting makeup, I've come across some wonderful mascaras, but I've also come across a few that have done nothing but disappoint me (we've all been there, I know). I'm so happy that this mascara is on team wonderful because I love No7. I was actually quite surprised that I like this mascara as much as I do because I have such high expectations thanks to my Laura Geller StyleLASH Intense Lengthening Mascara and Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. They are my favourite mascaras on the market right now if you couldn't tell already from past blog posts.

Since I already have naturally long lashes without mascara, I felt like one coat of product made no difference to the length and volume. It didn't lift my lashes as much as the other two, but the word natural is on the packaging so it was obvious that they weren't going to look extremely long and voluminous. It's quite nice to have a mascara that doesn't make your eyeslashes look really dramatic because in the summer, I always play it simple and natural. Who can be bothered to have loads of makeup on your eyes in the summer anyway? However, the mascara is buildable and if you want more volume then just add another coat or two. I loved how my lashes look with two coats and the product enhanced their natural length and volume rather than looking caked with product. The chunky soft bristle brush ensures that the application is even and the lashes remain separated.

The pigmentation is also fantastic and they look so dark which makes them look a lot fuller. The nourishing argan oil conditions the lashes and adds a wonderful soft gleam to them which makes them look all the more healthier. It also makes me feel so happy that my makeup is finally helping my lashes rather than drying them out. I also think that the argan oil prevents your lashes from feeling hard and stuck together when it dries, which I really despise because it makes it so difficult and painful to remove.

If you're looking for something which will give you natural looking lashes then this one is definitely for you. It's perfect for summer, school/college, or days when you dont want to wear a full face of makeup, which is me on most days. Like I said, one coat definitely doesn't fit the bill for me, but with a couple of coats, you can definitely see a difference. It didn't give me super volume like the other two mascaras but it did lift my lashes enough to have a natural looking effect as well as it staying that way for a good few hours.

Throughout the course of fashion history, there have been so many trends and hypes that when looking back, I have either regretted or have just never looked twice. I have my childhood to thank for that. One of my most hated trends which is a personal opinion because some may like it, is double denim. I just cringe at the sight of double denim and when looking back on old childhood photos, I find that I am eternally grateful to my mum for not making me wear that disastrous combination. However, there are some trends which I am so grateful for, and to this day I still wear even if it was 'so yesterday' because I just can't get enough. Below are just some of my many favourites.

First up is the god sent that most people prefer to call jeggings. I'm not really sure if jeggings are that popular but I am sure that they will get their moment in the spotlight some day because how can trousers that look like jeans but have the comfort of leggings not sound tempting. I hate the clingy feeling and material of jeans, especially in the summer, so jeggings are perfect for me. I would say that I'm the comfort before style kind of gal and would much rather spend my days wearing something comfy rather than being uncomfortable all day, so its a real winner when you find something that fits both comfort and style.

Shirt dresses aren't for everyone and I could quite possibly see why that is. One bad looking shirt dress and you may walk out of your house looking like your not wearing any bottom clothing, but I think if you can pull it off then good on you. I have my own shirt dress which is a red plaid pattern but I have never been brave enough to wear it in public, especially since the weather hasn't been warm enough, which results in me wearing it to bed like a nightie with some black knee high socks. I have also been around looking for more laid-back ones like the one pictured above because I really want to work with them and try and pull shirt dresses off in public.

If you've been reading my blog for a while now then you will already know about my absolute love for horizontal stripes. Theres something about stripes that I just feel flatters my body rather than doing the opposite. Is it a crazy and obsessive thing to say that I really wish I could have every dress above? Yeah, I thought so. Anyways, I just cant get enough of stripes and will probably never stop loving them.
