I have been watching Nashville for quite a while now (up to season three) and can quite contently say that it is becoming one of my favourite TV shows. This is no surprise considering my deep love for all things country and western. I just knew from the get go that I was going to be OBSESSED, and boy was I right! Here are a few reasons that make Nashville one of the best TV shows that I have ever watched. I also included some of my favourite GIFS created from the show as I used to do these type of posts a while back and really enjoyed making them. So, guess what? THEY'RE BACK!

3. The strong female characters - Finally there is a show that is focused on successful, career driven women. The two biggest characters in the show are Rayna Jaymes and Juliette Barnes, who are two of the biggest names in the fictional world of the show. They are such determined and strong-willed characters who both worked very hard to be as successful as they are. Definite role model qualities. Although, I have found myself disagreeing with some of the mischief they get up to at times.

4. The jaw dropping storylines - Even if you're not the biggest country music fan (like my mum), your eyes will still be drawn to the screen. I can guarantee it! The storylines are so well written and the actors do an incredible job at doing them justice.

5. Regular appearances from Brad Paisley - Okay so I couldn't find one single GIF of Brad Paisley on the show, but more of Deacon won't hurt. Brad Paisley was one of the first country artists that I first discovered and I have been OBSESSED with his music for ages. You could only imagine my delight when he made his first appearance on the show, for him then to becoming a recurring character.

I absolutely love feeling motivated and inspired. It's one of the many things that makes me feel good about myself and makes me feel like I can perform at my very best. However, sometimes its not always easy to maintain this, especially if you're going through a rough patch in your life. The reason I am writing this post is because I saw one similar on a blog that I came across the other day (Charlie Nailed It) and thought it was the most incredible idea. The internet isn't the most positive place, so it's fantastic when more positivity arises. This is my list of things, in no particular order, that motivate me  and help me get out of my comfort zone in situations. Please share yours down below.

1. Country Music - If you know me personally or even read my blog frequency, then its probably no surprise that this is on my list. I have such a deep passion for this genre of music and find it so exciting when I discover new songs and artists. I could go on and on and on about how much I love country music, but I'm going to try and attempt to keep this post quite brief. I would love to do more blog posts about it though as there is so much to write about. I have been longing to go to the C2C festival for as long as I can remember, so hopefully *fingers crossed* one day I will be writing a blog post about my experience at one of the biggest country music festivals in the UK.

2. My Family - I have been very lucky to have been gifted with a very supportive family, who also inspire me to work harder and be a better person every single day. My family is very hard working, so I am always encouraged to try my very best and put in 110% with everything I do. You go through many friends in your lifetime, but the beauty of a family is that they will always be there at the end of the day.

3. Going Outdoors - This is something that I absolutely love to do whenever I have the opportunity. There is nothing more inspiring than the very own world around us. Whenever I am outdoors, especially when exploring somewhere new, I will always have my camera on hand because I take photos of EVERYTHING! There is something about exploring new places that really clears my mind which provides space for more creativity and perspective. I will always find some use for my photos, whether that's including them in a blog post, like the one above, or sharing them to my Instagram page.

4. Looking Back on the Good Times and Past Achievements - Carrying on from number three slightly, whenever I am in a rut and not feeling particularly motivated to do anything, I generally find myself looking back on the happier times in my life and the times where I have achieved something that I am proud of. It is a fantastic reminder that I am more than capable of doing whatever I set my mind to as I have already achieved so much. It's also a great thing to do whenever you're not feeling particularly good about yourself or whenever you are going through a difficult time in your life as it is proof that the bad days don't last forever.

5. Inspiring Quotes and Books - It's cliche, but for me, they really do work. Whenever there is a craze about a new inspirational book, I am always straight on it. I also follow countless twitter accounts that tweet fantastic quotes on a daily basis, as well as spending hours on Pinterest, saving my favourites to my own boards, so they are always there to look back on.

6. Getting Myself Organised - There have been times where I have felt like certain aspects of my life are a little messy and unorganised, and therefore are preventing me from developing. When I get this feeling, I will start to set out plans, write lists, figure out what is working and what is not, jot down my goals - long term and short term. Whatever I need to do to feel like I am somewhat back on track.

This garden has seen generations create memories, from my dad and uncle when they were my age, to my older brother when he was a child, and then to myself and all of my younger relatives. In that time, there have been family animals who enjoyed it just as much as us, from our little white bunny we called Fluffy, to our childhood dog Nanook when we visited which is now visited by our current pup Lucy. It also became a home for Whiskers, the black and white beauty above.

The sun has finally made its grand appearance, which means only one thing. It's time to whip out the ol' summer specs. However, if you've decided that you're in need of some new trendy ones this season then I know just the place to find some.
